It is with great sadness that we at PhotoBiz are announcing that our friend and Blogger; David H, is sadly leaving the Photobiz Community. He started here as a valued member of Support and Sales; and as Photobiz moved into Social Media, he prepared the path into Facebook, Twitter and our well known and read Photobiz Blog.  He has been a pleasure to work with, a friend and mentor to employees and clients, and to all the members on our Photobizzer Network. You may have met him at a tradeshow or event, or you may just recognize him from our site.

We will miss him here at Photobiz and wish him and his family the best of everything in the future.

From the beginning, Store Site & Blog Site users have been able to upload a background image to their site. This is a great idea for creating a unique look for your site that ties in with your logo and branding. Using a Full Page Background can result in slightly slower page loading times. Full Page Backgrounds aren’t too big and do load efficiently but we resolve to do things just a bit better.

Many PhotoBizzers have chosen to upload their own custom backgrounds and PhotoBiz has always offered several options to accommodate different sized & shaped images. One of these options is to use a smaller image and “tile” it so that is repeating their image to fill the computer screen. The advantage to tiling is that the image is smaller; therefore the page loads more efficiently and faster.

But not everyone wants to create their own custom background images especially when PhotoBiz provides some really cool background choices. We want everyone that wants to use a background image to take advantage of faster loading times if they want to. So the Background Image Selection & Upload page has been updated to include Tile Backgrounds – Recommended for faster load times for your convenience.

Join Us at the Professional Photographers of North Carolina “Make It Happen 2012” Convention & Tradeshow.

We are really looking forward to our second year of meeting & greeting our fellow North Carolinians at PPofNC’s annual Convention & Tradeshow at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham, NC. “Make it Happen 2012” kicks off with three – New This Year – PreCon Classes on Friday March 2, 2012 and wraps up Tuesday March 6, 2021.

In addition to 20 top notch speakers there will be a live Model Shootout, digital & paper print judging, an all convention party with a Saturday Night Live theme and a huge banquet on Monday night.

The Trade Show will open 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM on Sunday with over 70 booths. A PhotoBiz Pro will be at booth #22 right next to the lounge until the show closes on Monday at 2:30.

Be sure to come by and say hello and “Lets Make It Happen in 2012”!
