NEW: Posting Videos Directly in Your PhotoBiz Website

PhotoBiz is always striving to bring you new features that can make you more successful.  If you read our last V-log, you can see that we just released a lot of new features.  We’ve decided that this particular aspect is special enough for its own article.

We have recently developed a new page for our websites called, “embedded links”.  This page will allow you to take your Videos/Slideshows from Blip.tv, YouTube, Vimeo, etc…and put them directly into your website.  You could also embed Animoto slideshows or any other program that gives you the embedded script.

Now, you may be thinking, “Ok, how much does it cost” or “How many videos can I have”.  Well, that’s a very reasonable question seeing how other companies in our industry charge you for video.  By utilizing newer technology and these others services like Blip.tv where they are hosting your videos/slideshows, you’re able to have an unlimited number of videos with us Free Of Charge.  Further, we were able to add this feature to your control panel automatically for you through Cloud Computing.  Other companies that are not cloud computing are not able to offer an update for you without extra hassles and charges.  Here is an example of one of our templates with the video directly in it:  Wall Street

Take a look below to see a instructional section that describes how to embed your videos in our control panel:

First of all, In your Flash/HTML control panel, you will need to click on the “Extras” icon.  Here is where you will be able to go into the “Free Extras” section and add an “Embedded Links” page.  This will then appear on your “Web Pages” section.  Simply click on the page here and you will see the following screen shot.

The image above is a screen shot from our PhotoBiz Control Panel along with some caption tags to show you some great new features.  You can see that towards the top, you are able to upload an image to be displayed as an intro to your image.  This is a nice feature that a lot of video programs like YouTube do not offer you.  All you will need to do is embed the script that is given to you.  With Blip.tv, it will look something like this:

<embed src=”http://blip.tv/play/Af30IAA” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”534″ height=”330″ allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true”></embed>

You will notice that in this script, it shows pixel dimensions:  width=”534″ height=”330″.  You will want to insert these numbers into the Window Width and Height.  You will also have the ability to add a caption and/or a description for these videos.

We hope that this article and video help you understand this new feature enough that you are able to use it with ease.  If not, you know that we have a passionate support team to help you by phone Toll Free Monday – Friday 9AM – 8PM EST.
