PhotoBiz Stores offer several Merchant account options for collecting payment. One of the most popular methods of payment continues to be PayPal. Therefore, we are happy to announce that we have enhanced the PayPal integration with our Store to improve the customer experience.
In the past when your customers choose to pay with PayPal, after completing the checkout process the Order Confirmation page had a “Pay your order using PayPal” button that took users to another page to complete the sale. This was a source of irritation and frustration for both you and your customers and we are very happy to resolve it! We have put into place a PayPal integration enhancement that should make these confusing situations a thing of the past. Now, when your customer clicks the “Submit” button, with PayPal selected as their payment method, they will be taken directly to PayPal where they can log in or create an account.
There are several benefits to this new enhancement. First, there can be no doubt whether the customer has paid or not. They must pay before seeing a confirmation page. Once payment is complete, your customer can click a button marked “View Order Confirmation” which will take them to the Order Confirmation page on your Store.
In addition, the new enhancement automatically marks PayPal orders as “Paid” for you. Now you don’t have to do anything for people to purchase items on your Store using PayPal! The new integration has been automatically installed on all Stores.
Custom Checkout Option
While we were at it, we added the ability for you to add a Custom Checkout Option, which will let you add questions such as an Age Verification checkbox, giving you even more personalization settings for your PhotoBiz Store. The Custom Checkout Option allows you to place a checkbox, text field, or paragraph based option for your customers to input information during the checkout process.
We hope that these enhancements will give some of you who use PayPal as your Merchant a little peace-of-mind knowing that orders will now flow more smoothly. And we believe the Custom Checkout Option is something that may come in handy for many of you as well.
Just to clarify, we cannot use paypal linked into our website UNLESS we have the store option? I am really trying to keep all my start up overhead
costs as low as possible. I sounds like I wouldn't be able to use paypal? Thank you ! Lori
Hi Lori! The PayPal integration is specific to our Store product, and that is the only product with the ability to sell something online. You can add it on at anytime.
Hi everyone! On the heels of last week's PayPal Integration updates, we have also made some adjustments to the PayPal Merchant section of our PhotoBiz Store Control Panel. Now, if you would like your customers to be automatically redirected back to your PhotoBiz Store upon completion of their PayPal payment (rather then clicking a button to return to your Store), you can follow the simple instructions found within your PhotoBiz Store Control Panel. The instructions walk you through how to adjust your PayPal settings to allow the optional Automatic Redirect to function seamlessly.
And what about for all those customers who already bought the cart before the store was available??? I presume you will be doing the same?
