Maroma Is Our Latest HTML5 Portfolio Site Design
Once again we return to the beautifully exotic “Mayan Riviera” with Maroma. Just a few miles south of Cancun with Cozumel visible to the southeast, this “secret” beach is a honeymooner’s favorite. There is a breakwater reef in front of the beach so it is more like a giant pool than the ocean.
Maroma’s design structure echoes the beach it is named after, as the framing top and bottom bars create separation from the image content allowing for a more open and spacious look.
The top bar color is selected from the color scheme used, but the bottom bar, along with the selected menu item and drop-down menus, can utilize our wonderful color shifting technology. It is with the menu bar that Maroma shows much of it’s stylistic flair.
Within the navigation bar, each selected menu item plus drop-down menus are highlighted in rounded-edged rectangles that have a drop shadow to create extra emphasis. To round out the design your logo will be displayed at the top of the page (left, right, or centered) and social media icons are displayed in the bottom left corner.
Like all of our HTML5 Portfolio Site designs Maroma features beautiful gallery pages, for which you can select from a number of elegant transitions to showcase your work. The thumbnail images are displayed vertically on the left side of the page on this design, and you may choose to turn on or off the slideshow controls including arrows and a play/pause button.
Let Maroma be your “secret” for the perfect place for your customers to “visit” your work, as it can be seen everywhere – computers, tablets, even phones!
Special thanks to Sarah Petty for sharing her images for the sample of the Maroma HTML5 Portfolio Site design!
