Named after the “Cultural Capital of Australia,” Melbourne is a stunning variation on our “Slider” series of templates. Images slide in from the right, while the Menu enters from the left creating a sophisticated opening animation. Large photographs are enhanced with a subtle reflection below, and our color switching technology creates a cohesive look. The Menu slides in from either the left or right, uses point & click and mouse-over animations, and is customizable all the way down to its fonts and colors.

Looking through some of the core features, their placements are a different from our previous “slider series” template Sydney. As you can see in the image below, the logo is placed along the top of the template and can be positions left, right or center. We recommend that you upload a PNG so that you have a transparent logo that fits well with your color shifting background. The icon bank has been fit into the design and placed toward the upper left corner on a bar that color shifts to complement the images. Your navigation bar will be placed at the bottom and centered in the middle of the page.

The color shifting in Melbourne is absolutely stunning! Looking through all of theses screen shots, you will notice different colors that are highlighted above and below each image. You are able to choose this color out of each image so that as your images transition, this color will compliment your design.

One of the most unique aspects of Melbourne is the reflection at the bottom of the template. This is such an elegant design element that has been worked in to give you a stunning look and something very unique to anyone else.

Another beautiful design element that has been worked in is the line that separates the images from their reflection. This line also acts as the “Slider bar” in your gallery. This control will allow you to navigate through the entire gallery with a single click and drag. You can see this illustrated better in the following screen shots.

Another unique design element has been worked into the navigation bar animation. As you click on any of the menu items across the bottom of the page, the “drop-down menu items” will appear directly above. Further, a solid bar will come in from the side in which that navigation menu item is closer to. For example, if you view the following sample and click on “Information” at the bottom, the solid bar will come from the left. However, on this same sample if you click on “Contact”, the solid bar will come from the right. This only occurs when a menu item has drop down menus below it.

Gallery Pages

First of all, Melbourne (just like every other PhotoBiz template) allows you to have as many gallery pages as you would like. If you choose to have 1 or 100 galleries, that’s your choice! As briefly described above, you will notice the color customizable “Slider Bar” across the bottom of your images. This bar is used to navigate through the images in the gallery with a single click and drag.

(Above) is a standard view of the gallery page and how it functions. You’ll notice that right between your logo at the very top of the page and the images that slide in the middle, your thumbnail navigation bar lies on a thin bar that color shifts. A small box will cover the number of the image that is showcased below.

One of the great new features that debuted with Sydney is our new full size thumbnails. As you hover over any of the numbers in the gallery controls, a full size thumbnail will appear. Then, with a simple click, that image will appear below in the sliding gallery. Below is a close-up view for the gallery thumbnail.
