For a bit of “spring cleaning” PhotoBiz has streamlined the main menu display at the top of the page. Previously if you had more menu items than would fit the width of the page, an additional row of navigation items was created. In the screen shot above you will see a “more” tab as the last menu item at the far right. Hovering over the “more” tab will display all the extra navigation links in a dropdown menu, which previously would have appeared on a second row. Plus, if any of those top level navigation items that appear under “more” happen to have dropdown menus themselves, they will be displayed as sub-menus under that heading. This new feature will automatically be added to your site when released. Enjoy!

Embedded Video Page

While you have always had the ability to embed a video on your Store or Blog Site with our Lightbox technology, the new Embedded Video Page will take your video presentation to a whole new level. This dedicated video page will beautifully display as many large format videos as you wish on one page.

As always, this new feature comes to you at no cost and could not be simpler to use. From your Store or Blog Site Layout tab of the Control Panel use the Web Pages dropdown menu to select “Add Embedded Video Page.” Click on the new page to bring up its controls. Then, use the Details area to name the page, set up the number of rows per page (up to 10), as well as set the security settings.

There are three layouts to choose from. The Large Horizontal and Serpentine layouts will display the videos in a large format with the title and description to the side. As the name implies the Compact layout will display the videos in a smaller size, with two videos next to each other on the same row, and therefore will allow for more videos per page.

Here is where the brilliance of the PhotoBiz Development Team really shines. Embedding your video could not be simpler. Give your video a title and a description. Copy the iframe embed code from your favorite service such as YouTube or Vimeo and paste it into Embed Code box. Not sure of the dimensions? That’s OK, by using the iframe coding, the video will automatically be resized based on the layout you have selected.
