DISCOUNTS in the PhotoBiz Store
Can you believe we’re less than three weeks away from the release of the new Store! We appreciate your patience as we tie up the last few loose ends, and have enjoyed the excitement building around the coming release!
As we worked on the new Store, we put great effort into developing methods that would make sales easier and faster for you as a seller. One area that we have significantly expanded compared to the current cart is discounts.
Knowing that there are unlimited types of discounts that a seller might want to offer, we did some research within our customer base as well as other online stores to find what the most needed discount types are. We are excited to announce that we have twelve (12) different coupon types available! You can create an unlimited number of coupons in your Store, and customize them to your business’ needs.
Below we have listed the twelve (12) different types of discounts with their descriptions and an example of a coupon you can create with each, along with screen shots and your first glimpse at what the control panel will look like!
Percentage Discounts
% Off Total Order – With this coupon, you can also set a minimum and maximum order total to apply the discount to.
- Example: 15% off your order of $35 or more
% Off Single Item – With this coupon, you select a specific item from your Products, Packages or Services to apply the discount to.
- Example: 20% off the Deluxe Wedding Package
% Off Group of Items – With this coupon, you are able to select several items that are eligible for the discount, as well as set a minimum and maximum number to receive the discount.
- Example: 10% off all Leather Albums
Dollar Discounts
$ Off Total Order – This coupon allows you to set a minimum and maximum order total in addition to the specific dollar amount you’d like to discount the order total.
- Example: $50 off your order of $500 or more
$ Off Single Item – This coupon allows you to select a specific item from your Products, Packages and Services to receive the discount.
- Example: $10 off one 16×20 print
$ Off Group of Items – This coupon allows you to select several items that are eligible for the discount, as well as set a minimum and maximum number to receive the discount.
- Example: $5 off 8x10s, up to 5.
“Buy One Get One” Discounts
Buy One, Get One % Off – With this coupon, you are able to require the purchase of a specific item in order to receive a percentage discount on another specified item. You can choose whether or not the discounted item is the same as the required item.
- Example: Buy One 8×10, Get One 30% Off
Buy One, Get One $ Off - With this coupon, you are able to require the purchase of a specific item in order to receive a dollar discount on another specified item. You can choose whether or not the discounted item is the same as the required item.
- Example: Buy One Proof Book, Get One $20 Off
Buy One, Get One Free – With this coupon, you are able to require the purchase of a specific item in order to receive a second item free. You can choose whether or not the free item is the same as the required item.
- Example: Buy One 4×6, Get One Free
Bundle Discounts
Buy Item(s), Get Item(s) % Off – This coupon allows you to require the purchase of a specific group of items in order to receive a percentage discount on a second group of items.
- Example: Buy One Senior Session and Proof Book, Get Graduation Announcement Inserts 50% Off
Buy Item(s), Get Item(s) $ Off – This coupon allows you to require the purchase of a specific group of items in order to receive a dollar discount on a second group of items.
- Example: Buy Two 8x10s and One 5×7, Get $10 Off Three Sheets of Wallets
Buy Item(s), Get Item(s) Free – This coupon allows you to require the purchase of a specific group of items in order to receive a second group of items free.
- Example: Buy One Family Session and One 16×20 Canvas, Get Four 8x10s Free
How It Works
Step 1: Choose the type of coupon you would like to create from the list of twelve (12) coupons.

Once you choose the coupon you would like to create you will be taken to a second screen to enter a custom coupon code, a description (for your use), activation/expiration dates and set the maximum number of uses. Depending on the coupon, you will also enter the percentage off or dollar amount off.
Coupons that require specific items will have consecutive screens that will allow you to choose either groups of items in a category or specific item(s) required.
Below are three different examples of coupons that can be created, showing the second and consecutive (if applicable) steps.
Example 1: 15% off your order of $35 or more
Step 2: Set the coupon information including the dollar amount for the discount.
