In 2022, PhotoBiz 9 was a milestone release. It included new features, templates, and fonts, plus enhanced security and speed. It’s release was quickly followed by the release of our Quotes tool and enhancements to our Invoicing tool. It also laid the groundwork for future releases, like the one we are here to announce today — our DuoBuild engine.
Let’s take a look at what it can do.
With PhotoBiz’s DuoBuild engine, you can now create a unique experience by displaying blocks of content side by side, in two columns.
Nearly any block combination is possible. You can create seemingly endless combinations of blocks with the new DuoBuild engine. You can feature a banner block next to a video banner block to create some visually stunning pages. Or you can add a text block with two columns enabled next to a list item block to create an editorial-style layout with a large call to action to drive people's attention.
Adding blocks side by side is also magically mobile. The new layout options aren’t hindered by mobile, they respond to it.
With our previous builder layout options, you had more than 1 million combinations of possibilities to design your website. With our new DuoBuild engine, you have exponentially more options. You think it, you can build it.
The following blocks have been updated to allow for two-column layouts:
- Editor
- Text + image
- Images
- List items
- Banners
- Videos
- Forms
- Buttons
- HTML
All users who are on PhotoBiz 9, our latest website builder, have access to the DuoBuild engine and can start building with it right away. We’re excited to see what you build!

You can control how/where the columns displayed within the content area of your website. You can choose between full-width and narrow options. These can be found in the global setting area of the website builder. All other settings and features for website blocks remain the same and are adjustable in either the design area or at a block level.
