Each year, over 680 million pairs of shoes are thrown away in the United States. Meanwhile, many children in South America and Africa go without shoes – risking injury and illness.
Dando Amor is a nonprofit charity that helps orphans Ecuador, Haiti and Burkina Faso. Their annual Shoes4Love drive collects thousands of shoes each year to support children in need.
With help from PhotoBiz staff and community members, we were able to donate nearly 1,500 pairs of shoes last year! Our goal is to surpass this number, and we hope to collect up to 2,300 pairs of shoes by June 17th.
We’re off to a great start, but we need your help to complete this goal!
We are collecting shoes of any shape, size or condition. If they go on your feet, they’re good to donate.
Shoes that are new or gently used will be distributed to orphans in need. Shoes that require repair will be cleaned and re-soled. Any shoes that are not able to be distributed can be sold to fund meals and education.
If you have shoes you’re not using, bring them to PhotoBiz or one of our partner drop-off locations!
