Selling online with PhotoBiz is easy. You can create an online storefront or sell products and packages through your private client galleries, aka Proofing events. You can sell individual prints, products, and services, or you can create packages to sell. Packages sold through Proofing events are built in three different ways:
Fixed packages allow you to sell a collection of prints with simple pricing structures, so that customers may select poses to print in specific sizes.
Flexible packages allow you to create a unique collection of prints featuring multiple poses (aka images) printed at a variety of sizes. These packages are based on unit pricing structures, and the number of poses that your customers may select may differ from the number of prints within the package.
Digital packages allow your clients to purchase a collection of digital images. Your clients can download their selected images after they pay.
These three package types allow you to create any number of image collections for your clients to purchase. Let’s dig deeper to discuss when you may use the different types of packages, and how you can apply them to your business.
Fixed packages (aka traditional packages)
A fixed package is something we're likely all familiar with (even if not by name). If you had photos taken at school or had holiday photos with Santa, you’ve probably bought a fixed package. A fixed package might look like this:
2 - 8x10
4 - 5x7
10 - Wallet sizes
Typically this style of package includes the prints of a single pose or image. However, it might involve getting the collection of prints for multiple poses. With PhotoBiz’s fixed packages, you can create a variety of packages with any size and number of prints you want to offer.
Here are a few examples of how you can create multiple fixed packages (e.g., Package A, Package B) each with their own parameters and costs.
Package A | Package B |
---|---|
Two (2) Poses 1 - 8x10 2 - 5x7’s 4 - 4x6’s 8 - wallets $60 |
One (1) Pose 2- 5x7’s 2- 4x6’s 8 - wallets $45 |
It can be a good idea to offer multiple packages with distinctly different options so that your customers may select what best fits their needs.
You also have the option to sell different packages for different Proofing events.
For example, if you take school pictures or do other high-volume work, you may sell multiple packages with a single pose option.
Or, if you are a wedding or family photographer, you may want to create packages with multiple poses. It really depends on what you would like to include and what your clients like to purchase.
Flexible packages
Flexible packages allow you to offer something unique to your customers. For a single flat price, you can encourage your clients to select multiple print sizes and poses.
With a flexible package you can let your customers choose the configuration of print sizes in their package. For example, you can set up a flexible package with three print sizes to choose from, and the configuration of sizes that people choose can vary, but the price of the package will remain the same.
Option 1 | Option 2 | Option 3 |
---|---|---|
1 - 8x10 4 - 5x7 5 - 4x6 |
5 - 8x10 5 - 5x7 0 - 4x6 |
10 - 8x10 0 - 5x7 0 - 4x6 |
The point of a flexible package is about giving your customers choices. You allow them to have more control over what they purchase, especially if you offer multiple poses within the package.
The flexible style package is particularly beneficial to commercial, school or volume, family, and senior photographers.
Digital packages
Digital packages are easy to build and sell directly to your customers. They support people’s desire to share their images on social media and allow your customers to print their images on their own using digital files.
You can create digital packages based on the number of images, the size of the images (MBs), and the resolution (web resolution, high resolution, and even original size, if you opt-in to a premium feature).
And you control the cost of each digital package you create. Here are a few examples of what digital packages can look like:
10 Web resolution images | 10 High-resolution images | 10 Original resolution images |
---|---|---|
$100 | $275 | $500 |
Web resolution is great for customers who want to only share and display images online, via Facebook, Instagram, etc.
High resolution is perfect for customers who want to display their images online, as well as print images up to 11 x 16 inches in size.
Original resolution images are your raw uncompressed images. Your customers can print their images in any number of sizes, even big beautiful canvases, and metals. Selling original resolution files is a premium feature you can purchase.
Digital packages are great for any style of photography. It gives your client full control of which photos they want and allows them to do any number of prints on their own.
Using a combination of packages
You don’t have to pick just one type of package! PhotoBiz Proofing allows you to create multiple types of packages so you can offer a collection of options and encourage your clients to pick which one best fits their needs and budget.
They could buy a fixed package and pair it with a digital package for original resolution photos that they can print elsewhere when they like. They can select a flexible style package, plus get a few web resolution files to share with friends online.
PhotoBiz allows you the ability to craft any type of package for your sales, the type of package you choose comes down to what you want to offer in each package and how much you want to sell it for.
PhotoBiz gives you complete control to sell your own unique packages of images and prints.
